Creating a VCU Guest Wireless Account VCU Libraries for Alumni VCU Libraries supports lifelong learning and professional research for VCU alumni by partnering with VCU Alumni to provide alumni withfree borrowing privileges for books in the collectionand invitations to special events and lectures. In addition, they can now obtain an electronic ID that will also allow access to in-building library computers. To be eligible,VCU alumni must have completed a degree programat VCU or at one of its predecessor institutions, Richmond Professional Institute or the Medical College of Virginia. Alumni must firstregister onlinewith the VCU Office of Alumni Affairs. Once fully registered with VCU Alumni,library privilegescan be requested. After activation of your borrowing privileges, alumni can request an electronic ID to use while in library spaces. Please allow 2 weeks to receive a borrowing card and for activation of your borrowing privileges. Processing of the eID may take several weeks. For Current Employees & Students: If you are a current VCU employee or student, you already have library benefits and do not need to request an alumni borrower’s card.
